In a significant legal development, a multitude of sealed court filings connected to the notorious late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein is poised to be disclosed this week. US District Judge Loretta Preska, in a ruling earlier this month, asserted that there was no legal basis to maintain confidentiality regarding the names of individuals, including notable figures like Britain’s Prince Andrew and former President Bill Clinton. The unsealing process, set to commence after January 1, is anticipated to shed light on the associations between Epstein and these high-profile individuals.
This revelation follows several years after Virginia Giuffre, a victim, initiated legal action against British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell, accusing her of involvement in Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged sex trafficking activities. Giuffre alleged that Maxwell defamed her by publicly denying Giuffre’s claims of sexual trafficking and abuse during the period of 1999-2002 when she was a minor. Despite legal scrutiny, Epstein’s prosecution abruptly ceased when he took his own life in a New York prison in August 2019.
Bill Clinton’s Connection to Jeffrey Epstein: Referred to as “Doe 36” in court documents, Bill Clinton is mentioned 50 times in sealed records. Although Virginia Giuffre did not accuse Clinton, she claimed to have seen him with two young women on Epstein’s island, a claim he vehemently denies. Despite Clinton’s denial, flight records reveal his use of Epstein’s plane for international trips post-presidency. Additional testimony suggests Epstein once mentioned that Clinton “likes them young.”
Stephen Hawking’s Connection to Jeffrey Epstein: In 2015, an email from Epstein to Ghislaine Maxwell emerged, revealing Epstein’s attempt to counter Virginia Giuffre’s claims about Professor Stephen Hawking’s involvement in an underage orgy. The email proposed issuing a reward to disprove Giuffre’s allegations.
Prince Andrew’s Connection to Jeffrey Epstein: Virginia Giuffre detailed a distressing incident in March 2001, claiming to be trafficked to Prince Andrew. She alleged instructions from Maxwell to “do for Andrew what I do for Jeffrey.” Prince Andrew denied meeting Giuffre. Depositions also mention Johanna Sjoberg, who accused Prince Andrew of groping her breast in Epstein’s Manhattan apartment.
Larry Page’s Connection to Jeffrey Epstein: The US Virgin Islands government sought to subpoena Google co-founder Larry Page in connection to a civil lawsuit against JPMorgan Chase related to sex trafficking allegations against Epstein. Lawyers suggested Page might have been referred to JPMorgan by Epstein.
Glenn Dubin’s Connection to Jeffrey Epstein: In her lawsuit, Giuffre claimed Maxwell instructed her to give billionaire hedge fund manager Glenn Dubin a “massage,” implying sexual activity. Dubin has not publicly responded to these allegations.
In addition to the mentioned figures, other personalities such as Nobel laureate Lawrence Krauss, Michael Jackson, magician David Copperfield, comedian Chris Tucker, actor Kevin Spacey, Victoria’s Secret magnate Les Wexner, and model Naomi Campbell were reported to have visited Jeffrey Epstein’s island.
In court documents unsealed in 2019, Giuffre named individuals Epstein and Maxwell allegedly instructed her to have sex with, including attorney Alan Dershowitz, politician Bill Richardson, late MIT scientist Marvin Minsky, lawyer George J. Mitchell, and MC2 modeling agent Jean-Luc Brunel. Many of the accused have denied Giuffre’s allegations.
